This project was made possible thanks to the support of three organizations:

The Region of Peel Public Works Department is providing communications and marketing support, the use of Community Recycling Centres for product recovery, and safe disposal of mercury-containing products.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation awarded Scout Environmental a Seed Grant in May 2016 to launch this pilot project.

Scout Environmental developed the Mercury Roundup project and is leading the pilot in Peel. This environmental not-for-profit developed best practices for the identification and management of orphan mercury products and led the design and execution of the orphan mercury collection sweep.
